At Blue Glider we are passionate about our responsibility to society and the environment. We recognise the urgency for all businesses to get serious about the impact trade and industry have on our planet. We aim to walk the talk and lead by example. This is our promise:

• Partner with those who demonstrate ethical and moral business practices in the provision of goods and services, and treatment of employees
• Educate ourselves about Blue Glider’s ecological footprint
• Make sustainability part of business practice
• Select suppliers with strong environmental policies whenever possible
• Further reduce our footprint with certified global carbon credits
• Make charitable donations to Australian organisations acting on climate change: Trees For Life and Bush Heritage Australia

Our sustainability actions

We invest in certified global carbon credits under the Verified Carbon Standard. We also do the following:

• Work in a solar powered work space
• Use energy efficient LED and CFL lighting, along with abundant natural lighting and ventilation
• Recycle all recyclable materials
• Reduce paper waste, e.g. exercising a no print policy as much as possible, duplex printing at all other times on recycled paper stock
• Shut down computers and other electronics at the end of the day
• Use filtered tap water from rain collection – no plastic water bottles
• Purchase additional carbon credits to offset business flights
