Ethical & sustainable

At Blue Glider we are passionate about our responsibility to society and the environment. We recognise the urgency for all businesses to get serious about the impact trade and industry have on our planet. We aim to walk the talk and lead by example. This is our promise:

  • Partner with those who demonstrate ethical and moral business practices in the provision of goods and services, and treatment of employees
  • Educate ourselves about Blue Glider’s ecological footprint
  • Reduce our impact on the environment through our choices and actions 
  • Further manage the greenhouse gases (GHG) impact of running our business via carbon credit programs (Forestry Sequestration NGACs from Forests NSW) through Carbon Planet
  • Investigate and select suppliers with strong environmental policies whenever possible

What we do about sustainablity now

As well as practicing recycling, waste reduction and energy efficiencies, Blue Glider invests in carbon credits to offset power, travel and the running of this website.

 

Our footprint

After year one of trade under Blue Glider, we can more exactly determine our carbon footprint through a greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions audit, which complies with the International GHG Protocol.


From the audit we will identify areas for further reduction through our actions and business practices. Remaining GHG’s will be offset through carbon credit programs. Blue Glider will undertake annual audits and ongoing reduction of our footprint.
